What are the procedure for import purchase bills

Welcome to the Community. Allow me to share information about importing bills in QuickBooks Online. You can import CSV files with items and details listed below:
 

• Bill no.
• Supplier
• Bill Date
• Due Date
• Account
• Line Amount
• Line Tax Code

Once you already prepared your CSV (or Excel) file accurately, you can now import the bills.

1. Go to Settings ⚙️.
2. Choose Import Data.
3. Click Bills.
4. Review what's required to import bills. There is also an example of a data file available.
5. Once you have all the mandatory fields, tap Browse, then hit your .csv file.
6. Click Open, then tap Next. Note: You are required to populate the Line Account field even if you are only importing bill totals.

• Account only showing in that CSV, but as per purchase bill category and product/service is there, so how can change the account to product/service

Hi there, @logesh. Allow me to share with you some additional information about importing bills to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The default fields when importing bill transactions into QuickBooks are the following:

•  Bill No
•  Supplier
• Bill Date
• Due Date
• Terms
• Account
• Line Description
• Line Amount
•  Line Tax Amount
• Line Tax Code
• Memo

Adding the purchase bill category and product/service is currently unavailable. At this time, you can manually modify the information when the transaction is added to QuickBooks.

To edit the transaction:

1. Open the bill from the Expenses tab.
2. Make the necessary updates from there.
3. Save the transaction.

For the product/service category, you can proceed to the Product and Services window. I'm adding this link as your reference: Add product and service items to QuickBooks Online.

You've got me here to share some information about when the purchase bill category and product/services functionality will be added to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I agree with Fiat Lux - ASIA that we're unable to provide you with the exact timeframe when this feature will be implemented in QBO. With this, I'd recommend sending a feature suggestion to our product engineers. This allows our engineers to come up with a solution to enhance your overall experience. 

Here's how: 

1. Go to the Gear icon on the upper right side. 
2. Select Feedback. 
3. Type your feature suggestion in the box and click Next. 

In addition, QuickBooks has a website where you can vote and give feedback for all future suggestions or feedbacks. For more details, visit this link: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks.
