Since you still have the same issue even after performing all those steps, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. They can pull up you're account, securely, and create a case or ticket ID to be submitted to our engineers for further investigation about this unexpected behavior.

May I know what QuickBooks version are you using and for what country is it? I need this information to check if there are system maintenance for some of our services.
In the meantime, you may use a different browser or or device to access your account and see if the same thing happens when editing the Footer. You can also delete and recreate the template to identify if the issue is caused by a file corruption.

If you've already tried using different browsers and the same thing happens, you can try to use a private window to access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. This will help us isolate the issue because this mode will not save site data. Check out the shortcut keys below:
If you're able to customize the footer without any issues, go back to your original browser and clear the cache to make sure your browser functions more efficiently.

Hi, I just spoke to one of your Support Team. The content in the templates and email text changing on all templates when you update one template is apparently just a limitation of your system.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
