How can I enable multi currency? I subscribed to QB International for Costa Rica. It's automatically set up in currency CRC. I need multi currency to invoice in USD.

I don't see the section "advanced" in my company configuration page.

I'll ensure you'll be able to turn it on, frank.

QuickBooks Online Essentials and Plus subscriptions include the multicurrency and foreign currencies feature. If you subscribe to any of these QuickBooks Online versions, you can enable this functionality in the Advanced tab of your Account and settings page.

If you're unable to see this option, you may be experiencing a cache issue. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to fix it. Begin by accessing your account through an incognito window. This mode is helpful because it doesn't store any site data. Please see the following shortcut keys below:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

Return to your default browser if it works, and then clear the cache to remove any outdated data causing this issue. Alternatively, you can use a different supported browser.

For your reference, visit this link to enable the multicurrency in QBO: Turn on and use multicurrency in QuickBooks Online.

I've also included this resource in case you need help assigning a foreign currency to a customer: Assign a foreign currency to a customer in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if there's something else I can help you with. I'll be here to help you.

Thanks for coming back to us, @frank.

I've checked our records and found an open investigation (INV-83244) about the tabs missing in the Account and settings. It's why you’re unable to see the Advance option. Our engineers are actively working to know the root cause of this unexpected behavior.

To receive an email update about this case, I recommend reaching our Customer Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and add you to the list of affected users.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Type in Talk to a human, then press Enter.
  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it.
  4. Click Get help from a human or Contact Support Team.
  5. Select between Send a messageSchedule an appointment, or Get a callback.

I've added this article about adding currencies and foreign customers or suppliers in QuickBooks: About Multicurrency.

I'll be around if you have other questions about multi-currency in QuickBooks. Just let me know by leaving a comment below. Take care.
