We can review your transactions if they match your bank statements. We can start reviewing the original opening balance. Just go to your Chart of Accounts and we can make some changes if necessary. Let me show you how:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Select Chart of Accounts.
- Locate the account, then click Account history under Action.
- Find the opening balance.
- Tap Edit to make your necessary changes.
- Once done, press Save and close.
You'll get a message before you start reconciling if anyone changes your beginning balance. Here's how to handle it:
- Click We can help you fix it link to open your discrepancy report.
- Review the discrepancy report.
- Before editing anything, talk with whoever made the changes.
- Hit View to see the history of changes to the transaction.
- See the Change Type column, as it tells you what changed.
- Make edits based on the message in the Change Type column: Amount changed, Unreconciled in register, Reconciled in error, Deleted.

We recommend consulting your accountant to ensure that your books are accurate and to avoid messing up the data. They'll also help you with more expert ways of dealing with this situation.
Once everything is good, we can reconcile your account to get your reports and books accurate at all times. Also, you can review your work by running the Reconciliation report.
