How to export all the attachments made at the time of passing any entry or creating any invoice?

Hi there, @rajat-maloo-qure

In QuickBooks Online, you have the option to download attachments in bulk. You use the Batch actions feature to export those documents and files at once. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Attachments.
  3. Mark the attachments you want to export.
  4. Click the Batch actions button, then click Export.
  5. Extract the downloaded zip file to your computer.

Once done, you can manually attach them again to the transactions one at a time. Check out this article to learn more about adding or deleting attachments in QuickBooks Online.

Get back to me if you have additional concerns about managing your attachments. I'll be around to help you again.

@rajat-maloo-qure

Have you decided which accounting app you want to use next?

You can purchase a 3rd party service to convert data with attachments for certain accounting apps.

How to export all the attachments made at the time of passing any entry or creating any invoice?

Is there any way to specify a date range you want to download?  I selected multiple pages of attachments to download, clicked "Export" and it doesn't seem like anything happened.  Where do I go to get extracted files?

Hi nbokish,

I'm here to answer your queries with regard to exporting and downloading attachments.

To start with, the option to set a custom date range for the attachments you want to download is unavailable. However, you can use the UPLOADED column as a basis for the data that you want to download. From there, you can create a folder and store them there.

As for the concern with clicking the Export button, we can run some browser troubleshooting steps to isolate and fix the issue.

Let's export the attachments through a private window. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to open one:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Microsoft Edge & Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Control Option P

If you're able to export the data successfully, you can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. Piled cache can also be the reason for some unexpected issues on the opened pages.

You can also opt to use a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.

Additionally, after you click Export, you can review the attachments on the Downloads page. You can hover on the file and then click the folder icon. From there, you can create a folder to combine the data.
