Hello @mcdopck,
Thank you for getting in touch about the task you want to perform for your inventory prices. Allow me to help you update your items in QuickBooks Online.
You can export your inventory list to Excel and import the data back to QuickBooks with the updated prices. Our system overwrites the information of the products and services based on the changes from the file.
The item names in Excel should match with the ones in our system to avoid duplicates. Here's how to export your list:
Once you have the copy, please open the downloaded file and update the prices. After you make the necessary changes, upload it back into your account.
You can follow these steps:
Also, you can export non-posting transactions and attachments to Excel. For more information about the process, check out this article: Export data, reports, lists, and more from QuickBooks Online.
Let me know by leaving a comment if you have additional questions about updating item prices. We're available 24/7 here in the Community. Take care.
Sounds a lot more risky than the way it was possible to do with the desktop version, which sadly became extinct in the UK although I gather the US parent company still offers. Sad but I think I will take the long-winded line by line option as will feel safer.
You can use an inventory management app to sync with QBO and update/import the list price regularly in bulk easily. Otherwise, you can still purchase QB Desktop US version.
