How to show customer email and phone on the invoice?

It’s great to see you in the Community, suman-kushal-rec.

Let me help and guide you on how to show your customer’s email and phone number on the invoice.

We’ll have to enter your customer’s email address in the Customer information window. The phone number field in the customer centre does not flow into the sales transactions.

Alternatively, you can either add the phone number to the billing address or add a custom field. I’ll help and guide you on how to do this in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To set up the email information and phone number:


  1. In your company, tap the Sales menu on the left panel and select Customers.
  2. From the list, choose the one you’re working on.
  3. This action will open the Customer information window.
  4. Navigate to the Email section and type your client’s email address.
  5. Press the Address tab and enter your customer’s right address and phone number.
  6. Click Save to keep the changes.


To add the custom field:


  1. Press the Gear icon and Account and settings.
  2. Select Sales from the left menu.
  3. Go to the Sales form content section and turn on the Custom fields option
  4. Tick the box and enter a name for the field. For example, Phone number.
  5. Click Save and email.png


After setting up everything, the newly added field will show on the sales form. From there, manually enter the phone email.1.png
