The error you're having with the subaccounts may be caused by the piled-up cache in your regular browser. A regular browser's cache stores temporary internet files from your browsing history. However, as it collects too many files, this may cause performance issues in your account.
I've got some steps to help fix this issue. First, you'll have to sign in to your QBO account using a private browser. This helps isolate the issue since it doesn’t store data in the cache. Here are the following keyboard shortcuts:
If it works, here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. Restart your browser right after.
You can also try to log in to your account using other supported browsers (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge) if the steps above didn’t work.
You can have as many subaccounts under a parent account in your Chart of Accounts up to 4 levels deep. Thanks a lot MaryJoyD. I tried using QBO on a private browser and it solved the issue. I also cleared my cache so that I avoid such problems in the future. Your reply was very helpful. I appreciate it.
still my subaccount is not showing when i enter any invoice
I want to ensure your issue about the sub-account not showing when entering an invoice is fixed, Zaman1.
Before we start, have you tried the troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague above?
Please note that when you refer to the customer invoice, there is no option to designate a sub-account; the only option is to select the product/service. Alternatively, are you referring to a sub-customer?
However, if you refer to a Bill, you must ensure you've correctly set up the sub-account in the Chart of accounts. This allows you to select the sub-account you created when entering a bill. I've attached a screenshots for your visual reference:
