Let me assist you in creating a statement and adding a memo or description.
When you create an invoice, you may notice the Message on statement field. This is the data that will be added to the customer statement, not the description on the line item.
I suggest you open, edit the invoice, and copy and enter the memo or description in the Message on statement field. Then, recreate the statement.
For now, you'll want to pull up the Transaction Detail by Account report. This report includes the details you entered in the Description field on the invoice. Just make sure to add the Memo/Description column by clicking the Gear icon next to the Export button, then select the Memo/Description box.
