Thanks for sharing your thoughts, @alpha2017.

I recognize the need to add delivery notes to customer transactions. I appreciate your valuable input.

I'd be glad to share this request with our developers so that it can help others too. In the meantime, I encourage you to submit your suggestions to our product developers, so they'll be able to include this in their next product update.

Here's how you can send feedback:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.

Meanwhile, QuickBooks Online offers a functionality that allows us to generate or print a packing slip instead of a delivery note. A packing slip serves a similar purpose to a delivery note, as it includes essential shipping details such as items, quantities, and other pertinent when shipping goods to our customers.

To create or print a packing slip, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Customer & Leads and select Customers.
  2. Choose the customer's name to see their transactions.
  3. On the Transaction List tab, tick the box next to each invoice or sales receipt for which you want to print a Packing Slip.
  4. Click the Batch Actions dropdown and select Print packing slip.
  5. The print preview screen will open, allowing you to choose printing options, preview, and print.

For more information, check out this article: Create and print a packing slip.

Moreover, if you need to record an invoice payment, please refer to this article: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

It isn't the experience we want you to have, @alpha2017. I'll share details and other options to help you save and record a delivery note in a transaction or statement inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before anything else, please know that a Delivery Note in other regions is also known as a Packing Slip. The document includes items, quantities, and essential shipping information for shipping goods to customer.

A way to keep a record of this is to download the delivery note and add it as an attachment in a transaction inside QBO. We'll gladly write down the steps to get you going:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Access the delivery note by selecting transactions in the Customers page.
  3. Click the Dropdown arrow beside the transactions and then click Print delivery note.
  4. Instead of printing the delivery note click the Save icon.
  5. Enter the file name and then click the Save button.

Once done, you'll want to attach the delivery note inside a customer's transaction. If you wish to have it automated, save the delivery note inside a statement, and do it by batch, consider utilizing a third-party app to complete this task. You can visit our official QuickBooks App Store to help you find an app: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/en-global/
