How to force Quickbooks Online to search based on the first letters of a word, instead of ANY letter in a word - it's INSANE

When making journal entries, choosing the Supplier, I type in "M" and expect all the suppliers starting with "M" to be displayed. But NO. For some reason, the first name that CONTAINS an "M" is displayed first. So until I type at leaset 3 letters, the search results are useless. How can I make the search results useful to me, instead of a pain in the ass. This is clearly a crappy decision on the SQL command. From an end-user perspective, it really sucks

How to force Quickbooks Online to search based on the first letters of a word, instead of ANY letter in a word - it's INSANE

Hi! Nancy. Thank you for sharing your feedback and concerns about the search functionality in QuickBooks Online. I appreciate you taking the time to highlight this issue.

When searching for a name in a journal entry in QBO, typing the first letter of the name will prioritize the customer first, and then next is the vendor up to the employee. But take note that it still uses alphabetical order. So, for example, you have these two names in your customer's list that is A. Mario and Mario, so if you type in just the letter "M," it automatically puts the name A. Mario at the top list since it follows alphabetically order. But it only shows A. Mario at the top list because the name is under customer's list.

So if it happens that the name Mario is under the customer's list and A. Mario is on the vendor's list, Then if you search the letter "M" again, the name Mario will show in the first list since it prioritizes the customers first.

Looking forward, your feedback highlights an important aspect of user experience, that having the ability to search by the first letter of a name can save valuable time and reduce hassle.

How to force Quickbooks Online to search based on the first letters of a word, instead of ANY letter in a word - it's INSANE

Thank you for the quick reply.

But I don’t recall mentioning customers in my question. The response you copied from the knowledge base Doesn’t address my issue in any way.

i am talking about choosing the supplier form the drop-down List in the Supplier field of a journal entry.

Entering ANY letter in that field would logically return a list of suppliers starting with that letter.

Instead, I type a letter and not 1 single option presented as search results starts with the letter I’m searching for. Not ONE. Instead, all words even containing that letter are returned. Completely useless. So QuickBooks Online is actually designed to waste my time. And your suggested solution is to waste more time providing feedback. Never mind.
