how to link sales account with invoice ?

Hello there, @Jadallah!

When creating an invoice in the system, the sales amount will be posted on the income account base on the selected product or service. Let's go ahead and create a product or service item so you can associate it with your sales account. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to Sales.
  2. Select Products Services.
  3. Click New.
  4. Under Product/Service Information, select the appropriate type of your item.
  5. Enter the name on your new item.
  6. On the Income Account menu, select your sales account.
  7. Click Save and close.

From here, you can go ahead and create an invoice for your sales. Make sure to select your newly created item under the PRODUCT/SERVICE column. You can read through this article to learn more: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online.

Lastly, here's an article you can read to learn more about how you can receive payments from your customers: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me updated in the comments if you have any other questions. I'll be here to lend a helping hand.

I'm glad we're able to address your concern about linking your sales account with an invoice, @Jadallah.

With QuickBooks Online (QBO), you're able to customise your invoices to add the information that matters most to your business. Then, pull up reports to see your best sellers, what's on hand, and still on order.

Additionally, QuickBooks made it easy for you to manage your account. Here's the set of articles that'll further guide you in monitoring the growth of your business: Help Articles for QuickBooks Online. It contains topics about customer and income, suppliers and expenses, and banking to name a few.
