I am in the United states but Quickbooks has my account in India. How do I change this?

Hello there, completethefleet.

I can think of two options to change your QuickBooks Online India to United States. We can change the home currency through the company settings or sign up of new account under United States.

Here's how to change the home currency:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Advanced tab and go to the Currency section.
  3. Change the Home Currency to United States Dollar.
  4. Click Save and Done.

If you've decided to sign up for a new account, here's what we'll need to do:

  1. Cancel your current QBO subscription under India.
  2. Log out to your QBO account after the cancellation process.
  3. Go to this link and select United States under North Americahttps://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/.
  4. Select the subscription you want to avail and follow the sign-up process.
You can use the same username and password if you want to.

When prompted with the Welcome to Intuit window, make sure to select Visit the US site.

From there, you should be able to set up your company file under the correct country.

Feel free to get back to us if you have additional questions with the process. Have a great day!
