Thanks for coming to the Community today. QuickBooks automatically assigns numbers to your invoice. You can use the Custom transaction numbers feature to set your preferred numbering formats.

Please note that the sequence you set applies to all sales forms. Once done, turn off the Custom transaction numbers feature to prevent accidental changes to your numbering.
