"Section 31 of CGST Act, 2017 provides the various scenarios in which tax invoices can be issued. Further, Rule 1 of Invoices Rules, 2017 provides that tax invoice should be signed manually or digitally by the supplier or his authorized representative. It means tax invoice can be signed either (1) by the supplier or (2) by his authorized representative."
Currently QBO is NOT facilitating creating proper invoices with digital signatures which is an offense attracting penalty under GST law.
Please urgently bring this option and no, writing ". This is Computer Generated Invoice and does not require signature" is NOT valid.
Hi Ferdous,
Thanks for writing in! As of now we don't have an option for digital signature.
We have already forwarded this issue to our Product Development Team and issue has been prioritized. We will update you once the issue is resolved.
Hope this helps.
hi @Skypreach ,
As a temporary solution, consider using a 3rd party add-on. I recalled there was one app supports QBO.
I'm interested in adding my signature to my client invoices as required by my governing body. How can I do this? It looks as though you think I can add an image of my signature to my invoices?
Hello,

I have been asking for this option for Enterprise for almost 10 years and always the same reply that it’s been forwarded. Get up with the times QB!! We don’t need new update with more reporting, we need basics like this very common practice! It’s not like the technoligies are new. Charge for it for all I care.
Hi QB Team,
Since customer Invoices are asking for Mandatory sign - It would be good if QB india team can get this piroritised and Porivde us an option.
Currently due to this - we are doing Manual Invoicing with Signature and updating in quick books,, which is double job.. wasting of reosurces and Possibility of missing of Invoices.

Any updates on this issue? Seeing as how this affects almost the entire QBO user base in India, it should be right at the top of their development / update list.
I am not sure yet whether this workaround is applicable on QBO India version. For the time being, you should explore it in the trial account.

It'd be nice to have this as an option. But for now, you'll want to search for a third-party application that can be integrated with QuickBooks Online.
Here's how:
To customize your invoice template and other sales forms, you can read this article: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Some of our clients utilize an additional app to sign their invoice and integrate it with their QBO account. I am not sure whether it supports QBO India version or not.
