If you're trying to track inventory, you'll have to have the QBO Plus version.
Once done, ensure to turn on inventory tracking. This way, you'll be able to record inventory items. I'll show you the process.
To turn on inventory:
- Go to the Settings icon and select Account and settings.
- Choose the Sales tab.
- Click on the Edit pencil icon in the Products and services section.
- Turn on Show Product/Service column on sales forms.
- Turn on both Track quantity and price/rate and Track inventory quantity on hand.
- Select Save and then Done.
