Yes, you're right. The system will display all the invoices and sales receipts to calculate the total "Sales" amount on the Dashboard. Your random journal entries and other income transactions like bank deposits won't appear.
The browser may be full of frequently accessed page resources. It may cause unusual behavior in QBO, such as the total amount in the Sales section isn't calculating correctly.
Before performing the troubleshooting steps below, let's first run the Sales by Customer Summary/Detail report. This way, you can review the details of your sales graph. Here's how:

Then, I'd suggest signing in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account through an incognito window. It's a great way to isolate browser-related issues since it doesn't store data in the cache.

From there, go back to the Dashboard menu to check if the total amount in the Sales section is calculating correctly. If yes, let's clear your main browser's cache to have a clean slate, so it'll function efficiently. If not, use other supported web engines to help resolve this.
