Does anyone know how to change two labor line items to billable after they have been approved/exported?

They were approved as not billable, but are billable to our clients.

Does anyone know how to change two labor line items to billable after they have been approved/exported?

Billable labor items ensure that you can accurately charge clients for fair compensation and I'm here to help you correct it, @billingdept.

Before we begin, may I ask about the QuickBooks product you are using? Any extra information you can provide would be greatly appreciated, as it will enable us to offer you the most accurate and effective solutions tailored to your needs.

Meanwhile, if you're going to change line items to billable on an exported or approved time entry within QuickBooks Online (QBO), we need to unapprove it first so we can modify the line item:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Time tab and select Time Entries.
  3. Locate the labor line items you want to change. Filter the Display by and Date range if necessary. Then select Approved for the Status.
  4. Click on the entry you wish to edit and in the Action column, click Unapprove. Then, select Unapprove and unlock time.

  5. Change the Status to Unapproved so we can locate the entry again.
  6. Select the time entry so you can open the details.

  7. Select the specific line item and click on Edit.
  8. Enable the option Billable to customer. Then, click Save.

Financial reports provide a concise snapshot of your business's health and performance. In QBO, you have the ability to generate various reports that can assist you in monitoring key metrics and evaluating your business's performance.

Accurate billing items contribute to smoother operations and enhanced client management. If you have additional questions regarding billable items, please comment below and I'll provide prompt assistance.
