Does anyone know if it is possible to build a workflow so bills can be approved by multiple people?

The workflow should be simple:
Step 1. request approval from any of the Signatory A (2 or more Signatory A can be assigned)
Step 2. once Step 1 is completed request approval from any of the Signatory B (2 or more Signatory A can be assigned)

Allowing multiple users to approve your bills ensures security and accuracy. I'm here to share details about this.

 

The Advanced version of QuickBooks Online offers a Bill approval workflow feature. This functionality allows you to set up approval for invoices, bills, and purchase orders. It'll also allow you to add multiple approvers in one workflow.

 

However, we're unable to add another set of users to approve the bills once the first approvers completed the tasks.

 

To utilize this feature, I suggest following these steps:

 

  1. Go to Workflow automation.
  2. Select + Custom workflow.
  3. On the What would you like to automate in QuickBooks?, select Bill and Approval. Then, Next.
  4. Add a name to your workflow.
  5. Set the conditions and approvers of the workflow.
  6. Once done, hit Save and turn on.

If you aren't subscribed to Advanced, I suggest upgrading this plan.

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Type in your suggestions about adding e-signature in the web version.
  3. Then, submit your request.
