I am trying to ***** a new Expense, but in the Product/Service field only a single possible entry is shown. It seems there is a bug in my system, previously this worked.

Thanks for sharing this invoicing concern in the QuickBooks Community, @csg-i4see-com.

 

I want to make sure you're able to create expense transactions without any problems. If you experience any unusual issues with creating any transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), because of missing features, run some browser troubleshooting steps to fix it. Unexpected issues in QuickBooks are sometimes affected by the amount of data stored in the cache. This is because a regular browser will constantly overwrite the data and will not remove history unless done manually.

 

Private browsing will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N  
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

 

Once done, try to generate an expense and see if you get the same problem. If it works fine, clear the cache to resolve browser issues in QBO. Using a different browser can also help.

 

However, if the same issue persists, I recommend getting in touch with our Support Team. They can help report this to our engineers who can help with program bugs and other technical concerns.

 

  1. Go to the Help menu in QuickBooks, then choose the Search tab.
  2. At the bottom click on Contact us.
  3. Enter the keyword Account Management and Billing in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. On the next screen, scroll down to How would you like to connect with us section.
  5. Choose your contact options.
  6. When using chat option, make sure to enable pop-up windows. The chat box will appear at the bottom right section of your monitor, and an agent will be with you shortly after.

I have tried everything proposed, the problem is not solved. The Chat options "is currently closed". I need support please.

Let me help you show your items in the Product/Service field while creating an expense, csg-i4see-com.

 

You can use other supported browsers and create an expense from there. Then, check again if you see multiple items.

 

Here's the list of supported browsers you can use.

 

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari 11 or newer (Mac only).

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company.
  2. Go to the Help menu.
  3. In QB Assistant, enter the topic you need help with. You can also enter questions.

It does not help me if you keep repeating the same suggestion. I have tried all these things, with no success. I need help from a human support person. These automated support is a waste of my time so far.
