I'm trying to record a new transaction/expense paid in cash, but keep getting a red box "something's wrong, please choose an account". Whatever I choose, same result!?

The error message you're encountering is related to a missing account assignment for where the transaction should be recorded or posted.

 

Since you've already attempted to resolve the error and are still experiencing the same issue, we can proceed with browser troubleshooting steps to address any unusual behavior you might be facing with a cloud-based application like QuickBooks. To begin, please open your company file in a private browser using these shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N

 

After doing this, return to your regular browser and clear its cache or cookies to prevent similar issues in the future. Alternatively, we can try using other supported browsers for an improved experience.
