I'm here to help ensure you're able to edit and save the photo of the receipt in the QuickBooks Online mobile app, jeremy54.
When the application is not fully functional, performing the recommended basic troubleshooting steps will resolve the issue.
To get this sorted out, as an initial step, let's clear the application's cache files. Here's how:
Android:
iOS:
Once refreshed, restart your mobile phone, logged back in, and edit the transaction from there. If you get the same result, uninstall and reinstall the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
Additionally, you can visit this write-up: Compare mobile app features. It provides you more information on what options you can access on the customer side as well as a chart to easily compare feature availability on supported devices. Even if the article is for QuickBooks Online (QBO) US, the same concept can be applied to your India account.
Let me know the result of this troubleshooting in the comment below. I need to make sure you're able to edit the transactions and save the photo of receipts. I'll be around to help if you need additional assistance.
Hi
That has not worked, amount still goes to zero as soon as you open edit.
Is this connected to the recent software update?
Hello there, jeremy54.
I appreciate following the solution provided by my peer and letting us know the result. Let’s perform another step to help you move forward.
We’ll have to open QBO using a browser. Then, edit the downloaded transaction and add the photo of the receipt. I’m here to guide you through the process.
If you’re able to see the details of the entry and saved it in the browser, I recommend contacting our QBO Care Team. One of our agents will review the settings of the android app and check what causes the unexpected behavior (detail is lost). From there, they’ll perform in-depth troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
Let me share this article for more information about uploading and tracking expense receipts and bills in QBO. The guide is from another region, but it also works in the international version: Capture and categorize expense receipts and bills.
