Can we create delivery order & debit note in quickbooks

Hello, usersuhan-hussain.

I'd like to clarify some information. Are you trying to print the delivery note? If so, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Sales > Customers.
  2. Click the customer's name.
  3. In the Transaction List tab, select invoice or sales receipt for which you want to print a Delivery Note.
  4. Click the Batch actions drop-down, then choose Print delivery note.
  5. The print preview screen will open so you can select printing options, preview, and print.

I've got this sample screenshot for a visual guide:

As for creating the debit note in QuickBooks, you will have to use the Journal Entry option. This article includes the journal accounts for customers and suppliers: How to create a debit note in QuickBooks?.

Please let me know in the comments if you have additional questions. I'd be glad to answer them. Thanks.

Can we create delivery order & debit note in quickbooks

Hi, Is there any way I am able to create just a delivery note without creating the invoice as I will not know the price for say Potatoes before I take them to market.

Thanks for chiming in on this thread, charles-finsoft-.

I'll share a solution for your situation.

While you can't print a delivery note without an invoice, you can create a quote/estimate instead. A quote/estimate is used when you'll give your customers a bid or proposal. Note:  Quotes/Estimates aren't considered transactions on your books until they're accepted.

Here's how:

  1. Go to + New > Quote.
  2. Enter the quote details.
  3. Click Print or Preview or Save and close.

Here's a sample screenshot for a visual reference:

When your customer decides to continue, you can convert it to an invoice. The instructions are included in this article: Create and send estimates in QuickBooks Online.

You can also customise the appearance and layout of quote/estimate form by following the steps here: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any follow-up questions or other concerns, please let me know in your reply. I'll do my best to help you out. Take care!
