I have some information on what's showing in the dashboard, Anthony.
Generally, there are nine main tabs in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Dashboard. These are Banking, Sales, expenses, Projects, Workers, Reports, Taxes, Analytics, and Accounting. Other than that, the dashboard lets you search your financial records and adjust your QuickBooks settings.
You'll want to go to the Dashboard menu, then select Business overview so you'll be able to see the tabs mentioned above. Once you've already recorded a transaction, payable, or a bill, this will show up on the Expenses tab of your dashboard. I've added a screenshot for reference:
Furthermore, you can also run reports so you'll know the different angles of your business such as the sales and spending. To learn more, I've added this article for more information: Run Report In QuickBooks Online.
You can always drop a line if you have any questions or other concerns with the dashboard. Remember, we're here to make sure we get you covered.
Hi
Appreciate the response, however, it still does not answer my question. What I want is that when I go to the dashboard > business overview, I want to know how much is Bill/Payable balance. Like for invoices, I can easily see the uncollected sales. Thanks
Thanks for getting back to us, Antony.
I can see the benefit of knowing how much your bill/payable balance through the Dashboard would aid you managing your business expenses. However, the option to do so is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). We can send feedback or product recommendations to help improve the features and your experience using the platform. I'll guide you on how to do this below.
For the time being, the Business overview tab in the Dashboard currently has the Expenses widget where you can see your total expenses per category. Since your preferred widget (bills/payable balance) is unavailable, you can send feedback. Here's how:
Additionally, after paying your bills or settling all payables, record them in QuickBooks to keep your books accurate. You may want to check out this article to guide you through the process: Record bill payments in QuickBooks Online.
Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have other feature concerns or questions about managing expenses in QBO. I'm always ready to help. Take care, Antony.
Just to throw my 2 cents in, I'd also like a similar feature. In particular I want to see liabilities (such as payroll liabilities that are not using QB Payroll) in addition to bills.
I understand that you want this feature on your dashboard, Steve. Let me provide you with some information.
This feature of adding liabilities on the dashboard is currently not available. However, it would be a great feature to add to QuickBooks Online. I suggest sending Feedback to our Project Engineers.
Here's how to submit:

If you still have questions about your payroll liabilities, you can post a new one or reply on this thread. Take care.
