Welcome, Jena. I know how to remove the automatic print cheque number in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm glad to share them with you.
When writing a cheque, untick the box beside Print Later. This way, you can modify or edit the cheque number.
- Sign in to QuickBooks as an admin.
- Go to the +New icon, then select Cheque under Suppliers.
- Fill in the details.
- Remove the check mark beside Print Later, then enter your desired number on the Cheque no. field.
- Save the transaction.
When you're ready to print your transaction, select the Print button at the bottom area.
