I understand you want to close your account because it's no longer in use, Fareedcolors. To permanently delete your QuickBooks Online account, you must cancel its subscriptions.

 

Before cancelling, it's recommended to export your data to keep it for future use.

 

If you haven't canceled your subscription, follow these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to the QuickBooks Online account as an admin user.
  2. Click the Gear icon, then select Billing and Subscription.
  3. Select Cancel subscription or Cancel online from the QuickBooks section.

 

Once completed, you receive an email notification containing the cancellation details. You can access your data in read-only mode for one year before it's completely deleted. If you're on a free trial, your data stays available for 90 days after the trial ends.

 

On the other hand, you have the option to submit a request for data deletion. You can log in to your Intuit account to remove your data from the servers.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to this website and click Sign in: https://quickbooks.intuit.com.
  2. Make sure to select QuickBooks Online.
  3. Once logged in, click the Name icon on the right-hand side of the Gear icon.
  4. Select Manage Your Intuit Account.
  5. Proceed to the Data privacy tab.
  6. Select Delete.
  7. Click Continue to confirm.

 

Requests may take up to 90 days to process. Avoid creating a new Intuit account with the same email during this time, as newly created data could also be deleted.
