Hi there, beefreshkw-gmail.
Currently, there's no option to change the setting for decimal places from two to three in QuickBooks Online.
However, I suggest going to the Accounts and Settings page. From there, you're able to see the other available number format.
Here's how:
Please check this article on how you can set up your company file under Advanced account settings: How do I set my advanced account settings?.
Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any other questions about adjusting the decimal in QuickBooks. I'll be happy to help you further.
If it is mandatory for your company, consider switching to QB Desktop.

Let me share info about changing the number format in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Before anything else, I'd like to know whether you're referring to the displayed amount of your transactions or not. Moreover, I appreciate your effort in reviewing the Advanced option.
The Number format field was changed to Currency format. If you want to change the decimal format of the displayed amount of your transactions, you can modify it by clicking the Currency format dropdown and selecting the one you prefer.
If you want to view a snapshot of your business, you can read this article: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.
Feel free to return here if you have additional questions about managing the displayed numbers in your QBO account. We'll be willing to lend a hand. Keep safe, and have a good one.
Thank you Bryan,
The number is a quantity on an invoice and the client wants to enter the quantity as 13.33333, but have that display on the printed invoice as 13.33. This is so the line item total matches the quote supplied to the client. The quote was produced using a spreadsheet which can handle this situation.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that the client wants the invoice total to match the quote exactly, including the cents!
Let me guide you on how you can send feedback, SquidWorm.
I can see that having more than two (2) decimal places will fit your business needs. At the moment, the Currency format option only shows a maximum of two (2) digits in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I've added a screenshot for your reference
Also, the screenshot above is showing in the US version but it works the same way as QuickBooks Online (QBO) International.
