Change local currency. This is what I want to do. I was told that if I upgrade my account the system will let me do this, but I want to be sure? Thanks

Welcome to the Community forum, Noe1313.

The information you have is correct. To change local currency, the QuickBooks version you should be subscribing must have the Currency section which is available in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Essentials and Plus.

Keep in mind that you must not activate the Multicurrency feature in the system (QBO), so you can change the home currency.

Here's how to change:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Account and Settings
  3. In the left menu, pick the Advanced tab.
  4. Go to the Currency section and tap the pencil icon
  5. At the Home currency column, choose the currency you wish to change to from the drop-down menu.
  6. Hit Save, then Done

To know more about the Multicurrency feature, see below articles:

You can get back to me if you have any other questions concerning QuickBooks. I'd be more than happy to answer it for you. Have a great day.

Where is your company located? As far as I know, once we have registered a single transaction data, we are unable to change the home currency any longer.
