Hi I have started using QB 120 days ago and have been making mistakes. I would like t close the account and start again. Can anyone point me in the right direction please

Yes, Kerry, I can certainly guide you on the right path. I understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned, and resetting can be a great way to set a solid foundation for your business. I'll walk you through the process of canceling and restarting your QuickBooks Online (QBO) to start fresh.

Since your QBO account is more than 60 days old, you'll need to cancel your current company and create a new one. The steps for canceling depend on where you signed up for your plan.

If your account was bought online directly from Intuit, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open a web browser on your computer, not a mobile device.
  2. Sign in as the primary or company admin.
  3. Go to the Gear icon and choose Subscriptions and Billing.

  4. In the Billed to you dropdown, locate your product and tap Cancel subscription.

  5. Follow the on-screen steps.

If you purchased through the Apple Store, Google Play, or others, refer to this article: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.

Your data will be deleted one year after the cancellation procedure is completed. This gives you time if you decide to use your previous account.

Once done, you can start with a clean slate by creating a new company. Here's how:

  1. Sign up for QBO. Find out more about the available pricing plans.
  2. Type in your user ID and password. You may use the same credentials as before.

For more information, check out this link: Delete your data and start over.

As you embark on this new journey, I want you to know that I'll be here to support you every step of the way, Kerry. If you need help importing data or learning the features, please feel free to comment below. Let’s work together to make this new beginning a success.
