Is my case resolved? since I have procced to setup USD home currency and enabled multicurrency, I am still getting the error message.
This is getting ridiclous now.
This should be being worked on as a priority, instead I am contually being fobbed off with we are working on it.
You were working on it in 2019 as well.
Please sort this out team!

Additionally, our team will offer guidance on activating the Multicurrency function. If you're located in a different region, let's go over some troubleshooting steps to get past the error.
Start by launching QBO in private browsing or an incognito window. This mode doesn't store any information and can fix any webpage issues. Refer to the shortcut keys mentioned below to bring up one:
When you're logged in, make sure to activate the Multicurrency option. If everything goes smoothly, try clearing the cache of your usual browser. This will help free up storage space on your device and enhance its performance. You can also consider switching to a supported browser for a better experience.

It didn't work the previous seven times I tried it and its not working now.
This is getting ridiculously frustrating now and I'm tired of being fobbed off.
I was told I would get updates, but I am having to chase a solution and every time I am told they are working on it.
I came on again this morning to find out what was happening, the agent seemed more interested in taking the mick than finding a solution. Asking me what I did and how long I had done it for, then telling me it sounded sophisticated?? I thought it was an odd thing to say about a desk job until I checked my company's website and it's in the tag line. Maybe spend a bit less time googling customers and a bit more helping them.
Hi,
rec'd email reply:
QUOTE "This issue is caused by backend data mismatching. Engineers are aware of this issue and are working toward a fix. Thank you for your patience.
I read through all the previous messages, as I also experienced this same error.
Just maybe we should all move to some other system, like Xero, I hear their multicurrency works without a hitch, and they do not roll their queries. Most businesses that operate across border have more than one currency they deal with, as well as other companies do international purchases. Surely your dev and support team cannot be this ignorant, not to mention your management team. I think everybody has been patient enough, and to only give an update on 29 April 2024, is not only ludicrous, but also disrespectful and arrogant.
Hello,
It is likely that QuickBooks assigned the wrong currency as your home currency during setup.
Please try the following steps.
1. Go to your Chart of Accounts. You will find that some accounts have a currency attached to them by default, and that is not likely the currency you want. If that is the case, then.
2. Go back to your currency setting and change your Home Currency to that currency shown in the Chart of Accounts, even if it is not your preferred currency. Click save and refresh the account. At this point, please don't touch multi-currency.
3. Go back to currency settings and change the Home Currency to your preferred currency, save and refresh.
4. Now you should be able to enable multi-currency.
It works!!! all users who have same problem, please follow through Victor's guide.
Thank you so much Victor, you save our day!!!
