A cache-related issue may be causing this unexpected behavior while utilizing QuickBooks Online. To address this, I recommend opening your QuickBooks Online company using a private window and creating a credit memo from there. This is to isolate the possibility of a browser issue and allow QuickBooks to start on a clean slate.

If everything works smoothly in incognito, I suggest going back to your regular browser to clear its cache. Alternatively, you can also use other supported browsers.
