I want to print my Debit note. how can i do?

Thanks for checking out the Community space, archit-alwick-in.

Currently, we do not have the option to create a printable debit note in QuickBooks Online. As a workaround, we can utilize the journal entry if it's for the customers' expenses incurred on their behalf. For this, we will credit the Expense account and debit Accounts Receivable.

When the customer pays for it, enter a bank deposit by selecting the customer name from the Received from column and A/R in the Account drop-down.  Here's how:

  1. Click the + New button.
  2. Choose Bank Deposit.
  3. Set the account you want to put the money into.
  4. Go to the Add funds to this deposit section.
  5. Pick a customer, then categorize it under Accounts Receivable.
  6. Enter the description, amount, and memo.
  7. Hit Save and new or Save and close.

If it's intended for the items returned from your vendor, we'll have to use a supplier credit. Once they pay back, create a similar deposit entry. This time, we'll need to post it to Accounts Payable and set the appropriate payee.

After that, you can pull up and customize the Transaction List by Vendor/Customer. Then, print it to provide information to your supplier for debiting their account.

  1. Head to the Reports menu.
  2. Open the Transaction List by Vendor/Customer report.
  3. Click the Customize button, then set the appropriate reporting date and accounting method.
  4. Filter it to a specific transaction and vendor or customer.
  5. Hit Run report, then select the Print icon above the table.

I know how convenient to have a feature that can directly log and print this type of transaction. To help improve your experience in the program, I encourage sending your suggestions to our Product Development Team. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO company.
  2. Go to the Gear icon.
  3. Choose Feedback.
  4. Enter your product comments in the description box.
  5. Click Next to submit your inputs.
