Migrating subscription

Good day

 

I created a company on the online trial version, but when I needed to upgrade to a paid version I accidentally subscribed for a new company. Now I have a new company with non of my data and my canceled company has all my data. 

 

How can I move my subscription to the trial company and delete the new one I created by accident?

Migrating subscription

You can't transfer your subscription fee between QBO accounts. I would recommend to pay your trial account with the regular fee.

If you prefer to pay the discounted rate, you will have to migrate your data manually or use a migration tool.

Migrating subscription

I can help ensure you’re only paying for the subscription you need. In addition to Fiat Lux - ASIA's answer in regards to subscription migration, we're unable to migrate your cancelled company which has all your data into the trial company account. However, you can follow Fiat Lux - ASIA's recommendation by using a migration tool.

 

Since you're not opt to use the new account, I suggest canceling it to keep the old one.

 

Here's how to cancel the QBO account:

 

  1. Open the account you wish to cancel.
  2. Click the Gear icon at the top to choose Account and settings under Your Company.
  3. Tap the Billing & Subscription menu on the left panel to view your subscription details.
  4. From there, click the Cancel subscription link.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cancellation process.

In regard to the cancelled QuickBooks Online account that has all of your data, you can reactivate it. I also recommend you get in touch with our QBO Care Team. They can check your subscription in a secure space. Then, explain in detail how to handle the situation.

 

  1. Choose the Help icon at the top and then go to the Search tab.
  2. At the bottom of the window, click Contact Us.
  3. Enter your subscription account concern.
  4. Select Chat with us or Callback.
