I added my federal tax identification number to my settings and received an email from QuickBooks stating they couldn't validate it and removed it. What should I do?

The company whose accounting will be handled is in the United States. I entered the company's Federal Tax ID, and it's correct, but QuickBooks says it couldn't validate it. Does it have anything to do with the fact that I subscribed from Panama? What should I do to get QuickBooks to recognize my company's Federal Tax ID?

The Federal Tax Identification Number is an identifier for businesses in the United States. To comply with local financial and tax regulations, it’s essential to establish a QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in the same region where your business operates.


Since your subscription is registered in Panama, this can be the reason why QBO couldn't validate the Federal Tax Identification Number.


To resolve this issue, you will need to change the QBO account's region by subscribing to a new subscription and choosing the country from this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/.
