The cheque printing facility is not available in our account. Does it have something to do with the type of account we have? do we need to upgrade it?

Hello, Mofakha. Welcome to the Community. We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you with your query. We would be more than happy to provide you with information and ensure you can print your cheques in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We understand the importance of this feature to you. We aim to ensure that your experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is as convenient as possible for all your tasks. Please know that there's no subscription level required or no need to upgrade to print cheques.

You can print cheques in QBO as long as the cheques are formatted within the program. To help you with this, please follow the steps below:

If the cheques are not yet created, here's how:

  1. In QBO, go to the + New option at the top left to get to the Cheque.
  2. Enter the necessary information in the desired fields.
  3. Click the Print cheque or Print or Preview option at the bottom.
  4. Select Save and close to close the cheque window. Or Save and new if you need to create.

For more information about printing cheques in QBO, feel free to check out this article: Create and record cheques in QuickBooks Online.

If the print check option is from the +New button/section, I recommend opening your browser's private window if the Print button is unavailable. It allows you to isolate cache, the common cause of unusual behaviors in browsers.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If that works, return to your regular browser and clear its cache. Otherwise, open an alternative browser that's available for you.
