We are planing to shift from a local qb to a online qb , is it possible to migrate our data to the online version

Could you confirm if you're using the US or Canada version of QBDT? Converting data from QBDT to QBO is only available for these regions. If applicable, you can refer to these articles for migration guidance:

 

However, if you have or want to migrate to the global version of QuickBooks, you'll need to export/import data manually or use a third-party app migrating tool as a workaround.
