Can I import Journal entries into quickbooks?

Can I import journal entries into QuickBooks using a CSV file?
I watched a video by Hector Garcia explaining how to do it, but when I go to the Import Data section, I don't see an icon or option for journal entries. How can I resolve this?

Thanks!

Can I import Journal entries into quickbooks?

The feature is not available for all region. You can use a 3rd party importer tool as a workaround.

Can I import Journal entries into quickbooks?

Importing journal entries is unavailable in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) international version, Itai. I’m here to help you explore alternative solutions.

In the meantime, you can look for a third-party application that can help you import journal entries in QBO. To do this, go to the Apps menu in your account and browse for apps that integrate with QBO. You can also visit our QuickBooks App Store for additional reference.

Once done, I recommend running the Journal report. It helps you review and analyze all the journal entries recorded in your account. This report provides a detailed view of the transactions, including dates, amounts, and accounts affected.

We understand your need for the functionality of this option and would love to hear your thoughts by sending us feedback to our product developers. This way, they can review and consider adding it in future updates.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments in the description box.
  4. Click Next to submit your inputs.

Aside from the journal entries, you can also import your customers, suppliers, inventory, and chart of accounts to the software. For more details, visit this website: Importing Data Overview. It contains answers to the common questions about importing information to QBO.

We appreciate your patience as we finalize this. Let me know if you have other questions about importing journal entries. I want to ensure everything is running smoothly for you.
