We can include the Report access for your custom role, @BKim. I'm here to help you out.
The reason why you are unable to create an inventory valuation summary report is that it didn't include the Report access for the role.
To ensure you can create a report, let me show you how to do it:

Sorry, "Inventory valuatio summary reports" is not under the "Reports > Sales and Customers". It's under the "Reports > Inventory". And all the inventory reports are not allowed to "Tick" or "Add".
So I made "Inventory valuation summary" reports as "custom report shared". But the users only see the reports on list of the custom tab (the second reports tab), but when they open it, they only see the blank page. What mal-functions with Quickbook online internation version - advanced plan?
Thanks for coming back to this thread, Bkim. Allow me to provide additional information about the user role you want to add to your account.
The role you want to add in your user is not available, it is only applicable for the original roles. I suggest assigning your users to a different role that can access all inventory reports.
Furthermore, you can refer to this article to learn about the different options for user roles and access permissions: User Roles and Access Rights.
Additionally, you can check out the audit log feature to identify which employee last accessed the account.
If you still have concerns about adding a new user, don't hesitate to share more details in the comment section. I'm all ears. I'm here to ensure you have a seamless experience with QuickBooks.
I tried to add access all inventory reports to a original role "Standard limited customers and suppliers", but I can't. All inventory reports are not able to add to both original and custom role!!
And when I tried to another original role "Account receivable manager", the results was same.
The only thing I can try is making custom reports with inventory reports and "Shared", but the users only see the list of the shared inventory shared reports, not the body of the reports!!!
I can see how the ability to create an inventory valuation report for your users can benefit your business, @BKim. However, the option to do so is currently unavailable. Let me discuss this further below.
Therefore, I recommend sending your feedback to our product development team. They can review your ideas and potentially incorporate them into future updates.
