I am having few business outlet and tracking Profit and Lost Report by Location. But i am not able to customized view P&L by month for each location. Any idea?

Hello there, @TBBCyberjaya. We can run the Transaction Detail by Account report and customize it to show the locations and months in a single document as a workaround.

Currently, there's no way to generate a Profit and Loss statement that displays locations and months in one record. In this case, let's submit your idea to our product engineers. It could lead to a feature enhancement, making the process more streamlined for you and other users in the future.

Here's a sample screenshot of how you can send it.

Now, let's run the Transaction Detail by Account report:

  1. Head to the Reports menu.
  2. Look for the Transaction Detail by Account in the For my accountant section.
  3. Click Switch to classic view, then select Customize.
  4. Set your preferred date period, then choose Month in the Group by dropdown.
  5. Click the Change columns area and tick Account.
  6. Once done, hit Run report.

Another workaround is to export the Profit and Loss by Month and Profit and Loss by Location reports separately. Then, you can consolidate the data outside the program. This method allows you to combine and analyze the information as needed.

After completing the steps above, you can
save your customized reports. This feature streamlines the entire customization process and saves you the hassle of redoing it.

The workarounds will enable you to track accounts and locations across different months. If you have other concerns, let us know. We're always here to help.
