Hi scissors6191,

In QuickBooks, there is no option for creating a individual ledger for customers and suppliers. There is a default account for sales is "Accounts Receivable" and "Accounts Payable" for Purchases.

If you want to see the supplier or customer balance, please generate these reports. "Supplier Balance Detail" report for suppliers and "Customer Balance Detail" report for customer balance and customize.

Hope this helps.

Hello there, @glarysolutions.

When your customer needs an individual ledger, you can pull up the Customer Balance Detail report as suggested above. You just need to filter it to display information only for a specific customer. Then, you'll have to select the Export icon to download the said report. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Type in Customer in the search box, then select Customer Balance Detail.
  3. Click the Customise button to filter the information you need.
  4. Once done, select the Export icon.
  5. Select either Export to Excel or Export to PDF and manually send one to your customer.

I've attached a screenshot that shows the last three steps.
