Inventory items is showing a different balance on the products and services section and chart of accounts Purchases show on sale report but not on the stock report.

I linked all my accounts properly and the problem just started a few days ago. the inventory report from the products and service section is showing different transactions from that of the stock account in the chart of accounts. Some transactions are omitted.

I would be happy to assist you in addressing the issue of missing balance data within the sales and stock reports in QuickBooks Online.

To begin with, I suggest examining the filter settings when reviewing the balance in Products and Services compared to the Chart of Accounts.

Once we've ensured everything is accurate, we can eagerly dive into the browser troubleshooting steps.

The files saved in your browser often cause unexpected issues or failures in QuickBooks Online. Your cache stores files from various websites you visit, allowing those pages to load quickly on your next visit. However, if the cache accumulates too much data, it can affect the browsing speed of websites like QBO.

Reviewing issues caused by a full cache while browsing in private mode is a smart move, since it stops the cache from saving your browsing data. Exploring different browsers can also be beneficial.

  • Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N

If the steps above will not work, you can use supported browsers as an alternative.

If the suggested steps prove effective, I recommend clearing your browser's cache. This will help you avoid using outdated forms, protect your data, and enhance the performance of our applications on your computer.

If you'd like to utilize your reports outside of QuickBooks, you have the option to export them to Excel. Refer to this article: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.
