Can i delete tax payment

There are Tax payments that were wrongly posted by the previous accountant. I have tried editing or deleting them but am unable.

Whenever i try to open to view the transaction, a blank white window appears, making it impossible to even see how the transaction was recorded. (Please see the attachment)

Please help.

Many Thanks!

Can i delete tax payment

Hello nyagadel,

Let me help you get this sorted out so you can get back to your business.

I recommend accessing QuickBooks Online through a private window. This helps rule out any browser-related problem. It's a good way to identify whether the problem is caused by the browser itself.

The steps vary per browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

Log in to your account and let's check the tax payment using the report. This way, you can view the transactions.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports page.
  2. Choose Tax Payments report.
  3. Filter the Date Range.
  4. Click Run Report.
  5. Under Tax payment click on the transactions.

At this time, the option to edit a tax payment isn't possible. You'll need to delete the payment.

Here are the steps on how to delete tax payment in QuickBooks Online:

  1. Go to the Taxes tab.
  2. Under Sales Tax and choose Payments.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow beside view, then click Delete.
  4. Select Yes on the confirmation screen.

Feel free to keep in touch if you have any other questions.
