Can you help me to modify the tax number field?

Welcome to the Community, didier. I can help you modify your tax number field in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before proceeding, may I ask if this tax number field is from your company settings or a custom field for your sales transaction? Or it can be from your customer's tax field in their profile.

In the meantime, let's discuss the possible reasons for how you can modify the different tax number fields in QBO.

If you're referring to the Tax Registration Number, you can edit it by going to your company settings:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Settings icon at the top right corner of your QBO page.
  3. Select Account and Settings.
  4. Under the Company section, select Company Name.
  5. Enter the correct Tax Registration Number in the required field.
  6. Click Save.

If this is a custom field for your tax number, let's go to the Custom Fields section to modify this:

  1. Go to the Settings icon.
  2. Select Custom Fields.
  3. Choose the Tax Number field name and click on Edit.
  4. Once done, click Save.

If this tax number field is from your customer profile, let's go to the Customer Details section to modify their Taxes:

  1. Go to the Sales tab and select Customers.
  2. Select the specific customer, then click on Edit.
  3. Scroll down to locate the Taxes section.
  4. Enter the correct details in the Sales Tax Registration box.
  5. Click Save.

Moreover, utilize this article to learn how to create a memorise Account Receivable report with scheduled email reminders: Accounts Receivable Reports with email reminders.

Feel free to return to this thread if you need any additional assistance with modifying the tax number field or if you're referring to other tax number fields in QBO. I'll be around to lend a hand.
