Hi QB Team, can we get the QBO Easy Map Field for the Template Airy New (with linewise VAT) so that we can import our own invoice form?

How can we have an Invoice Format in line with UAE VAT Regulations. You don't have an option of Linewise VAT. This is not possible through importing Invoice styles???

Good day, @kerkurgel. Let me share some insights about the invoice template with VAT in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The tax rate and the tax amount must be separated. Therefore, the option to add a line item for VAT when importing an invoice into QBO is unavailable.

I'd also encourage posting your concern to our Intuit Developer Community. One of our developers will help you with your concerns since the customisation settings are limited. I'd be glad to guide you through:

  1. Go to this link: https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/
  2. Choose QuickBooks Online.
  3. Click Ask a Question.
  4. Log into your existing Intuit Developer Account or create a new one.
  5. Enter your concerns.
  6. Click Ask.

You can take a look at this article to know more about the customisation process: Customise your invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online. On the same link, you'll find steps about adding fields as well as changing the colour scheme.

You can also visit our QuickBooks Help page to look for guides, articles, and links that you can use in performing QuickBooks tasks. The page consists of different categories that you can browse through depending on your concern. Once you find one, you can bookmark it in your browser for easy access and use it as a future reference.

Don't hesitate to post your reply if you need further assistance importing invoice forms into QBO. We're always here to help you. Have a great day!

Hi

Airy New template, support VAT on each line but the issue is this template is applied for both the invoice as well as the Receipt . The Receipt is not designed in a way that can accommodate the invoice number.

Receipt format is out of print area, see the attached receipt copyreceipt.png

We can modify the Sales Receipts template, SuperStar777.

This way, it won't use the same format as the Invoice. We have two ways to achieve this. I'll show you how.

On the Sales Receipts page:

  1. Go to the + New menu.
  2. Select Sales Receipts.
  3. Click the Customise button.
  4. There, you can select the style you'd like to use for your transactions.

On the Custom form styles page:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Custom Form styles.
  2. Find your Sales Receipt template.
  3. Select the Action column.
  4. Click Make default. You'll see (default) displayed by the default template name.

For more details about personalising your forms, please see this article: Customise Invoices, Estimates, and Sales Receipts.

Additionally, I've added an article that'll guide you in uploading up to 10 logos for different sales forms. This helps you establish the company's brand and personality: Add, Customise, or Remove Logos.

Post a reply and tag me in the comments below if you have questions about managing custom form styles. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Hi

When I tried your 1st option, it takes me to Invoice template.

FYI, Payment Receipt is different from Sales Receipt.

Hello there, SuperStar777.

At the moment, you're unable to customise the Payment receipt form to expand the invoice number field in QuickBooks Online. You can copy the invoice number and enter it in the Memo field when printing the receipt.

Let me show you how:

  1. Open the invoice payment. You can also use the magnifying glass to easily find it.
  2. From the Receive Payment window, copy the invoice number and enter it in the Memo field.
  3. Once prompt, click Yes to edit the transaction.

Additionally, you can send feedback to our developers to add this as a suggestion in our future updates. They're always looking for ideas from users on how to improve QuickBooks.

In the meantime, I recommend visiting our Firm of the Future site. This is where we share recent happenings and future developments, such as updates to newly added features.

Get back to me by commenting below if you have additional questions about the payment receipt. I'm always right here to answer your questions.

Dear QB Team, I wanted to know if you have this option now available in the QB. This is a necessity and required feature it is not good to have, Companies are being filed by authorities for not maintaining the approved formatting. QuickBooks need to take this seriously.

If you have already incorporated that then I would like to know how we can achieve that for our company.

Good day, LCACOUSTICS.

Let me share some updates about the UAE invoice format.

I understand that your company is required to use a specific template. I'm happy to inform you that QuickBooks Online can now display the total VAT calculation per line item below the subtotal. You can follow these steps to set it up:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then choose Custom Form Styles.
  2. Open your sales receipt or invoice template, then go to the Content tab.
  3. Select the Table section, then tick the Tax checkbox.
  4. From the Footer section, turn on the Tax summary option.
  5. Hit Done to save the changes. Take a look at my screenshot below.
