How to edit the name of the tax agency?

I'd love to help  you edit tax agency name in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can change the sales tax agency name through the Taxes page. However,  the agency name that'll show up on your sales forms is the initial name created.

To edit a tax agency name:

1. Click on Taxes at the left pane.
2. On the Tax page, click on the drop-down arrow beside Tax and select the correct agency.
3. Click on Edit (name of the tax agency) beside Add tax.
4. Tap on Edit Settings.
5. Update the name under Tax agency name.
6. Hit on Save.

However, I don't see this on my page:

• Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
• Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
• Control + Option + P (Safari)

If it works, we'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to get rid of the accumulated site data. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with clean trash. We can also try using other supported, up-to-date browsers to be through. It could be that the one you're currently working on has a temporary issue with QuickBooks.

Thanks for your reply. It also did not work. 

I am in Malaysia. Was reading that the default tax agency is GST. Maybe that is why it cant be edited.

If you have created a Custom Rate tax in QBO Malaysia. The option to change its Tax Agency name should be available. Otherwise, changing this will not be an option. I understand its relevance to enable you to apply the necessary changes you may have.

In this case, I recommend you send feedback on this option. This way, they can get notified of the features that business owners need. Also, the more requests it gets, the higher they will add it to future enhancements.

Here's how you can submit them:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Select Feedback.
3. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
4. Click Next to submit feedback.
