Hello @accountsassist2-,
Thank you for posting here in the Community. Let me provide some information about adding a GST number in QuickBooks Online.
Currently, an option to add multiple GST numbers is unavailable. For now, the only workaround is to open a separate QuickBooks account for each tax id.
I appreciate your input on this feature. Our product engineers will continue to make improvements to the product, and this preference might be available in the future.
As we assess this, I suggest you visit our QuickBooks Resource Center to stay updated with all the changes.

Dear Sir / Madam,
You can configure a new tax for the new GST number. In the sales form you can use the same on the Invoice. For reports you cannot get gst report but you can get inward and outward report as they used to available for VAT / Service Tax. If there are not much transactions then you can do the way we have suggested or else you can procure a new QB company.
We can help let me know if you need anything else.

Hello Quickbook Support,
Our company is registered in multiple states with different GST numbers.
How can I overcome the problem?
I don't want to use multiple accounts as it will be costlier and difficult to import data from our ERP to Quickbooks.
Welcome to this conversation, @surajgirhepunje. As mentioned by my peer @AlcaeusF, you'll have to open a separate QuickBooks online account for each tax ID. This is to ensure proper reporting of taxes since your company is registered in multiple states.
Additionally, read through this article to learn how to handle GST in QuickBooks Online: Setting up QuickBooks for GST.
For future reference, you'll want to visit our QuickBooks Resource Center to get updates on what's new in our product and services.

WHY THERE IS NO OPTION TO ADD EXTRA GST NUMBER IN THE SAME COMPANY?
Hi there, mskumarsanjay03-.
Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community. I can see how important to have the option of adding extra or multiple GST numbers within the same company. I'll ensure you can send feedback so your suggestion is forwarded to the Product Development Team.
There is no way to add more than one GST number or within one QuickBooks account to make sure your taxes are calculated accurately. That's the reason why you're only allowed a GST number per account or subscription. That being said, I suggest going to the Gear icon in QBO. From there, you're able to choose Feedback to submit a request about adding an additional GST number. Any recommendations are sent to our engineer for consideration in future updates.
Lastly, I'm adding this article to view details on how you can check your filing status: File your GST return and record tax payment in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you still have questions or concerns with GST. I'm always here to answer them for you. Take care and have a wonderful weekend ahead.
