Hello, @sdmstrategy. I’ll share some information about modifying or deleting group tax in QuickBooks Online.
In QuickBooks Online, you can only make changes to your VAT settings. This includes your registration number and the VAT period. For an instance, you can change your reporting method from a cash basis to an accrual basis. You can also go from monthly to quarterly on your filing frequency.
Additionally, deleting combined or group rates is currently unavailable. However, you can inactivate it so you won't see this rate while creating transactions.
Here's how:
To check if you’ve successfully deactivated them, you can filter the Settings and tick Include inactive. This way, the group tax will show on the VAT Rates window. Otherwise, switch it on if you'd like to reactivate them.
I've added these articles to learn more about the VAT Feature:
To review your sales tax reports, you'll want to read about managing sales tax payments. This includes the steps on how you can record, adjust, and delete tax payments.
For additional questions on how group tax works, kindly post your comments on this thread. I’d be glad to answer them for you.
