To submit the VAT return directly to HMRC from QBO, follow these instructions below:
From there, QBO will connect to HMRC and submit your VAT return. Once received, you'll able to see a message that your return has landed safely. When the VAT submission is successful, the status will change to Approved by HMRC.
Aditionally, the default tax agencies created by QuickBooks have input and output tax accounts in the Chart of Accounts. When you enter an invoice, the output tax account is credited. It is saying that we are connected to HMRC, but we have an error which will not allow us to submit our VAT Returns, we don't know what the error is and have tried everything

Do you see a button to 'Take action' on your VAT dashboard in QuickBooks, and do any specific steps or error messages show after clicking this?
