Income Tax Brackets in Belize for 2024-2025

There are several tax categories applicable in Belize such as income tax, business tax and general sales tax. Penalty and interest charges may apply if taxes are not filed and paid within the appropriate timeframes. The taxation system is administered by the official tax body, the Belize Tax Service Department and taxpayers may use IRIS Belize, the online taxpayer portal for all tax-related services and transactions. Only large taxpayers are required to use IRIS while others are encouraged to do so voluntarily. All taxpayers are required to apply for a Tax Identification Number (TIN).

The Income and Business Tax Act provides guidance and support in the form of income tax tables for individuals and businesses. Taxpayers must familiarize themselves with these tax tables and the corresponding tax brackets and tax rates, for effective tax planning and to remain compliant with the tax laws in Belize.
