I'd be more than happy to help you with this. When the bank account is being deleted (Inactive), we'll have to make it active again to restore your bank account in QuickBooks. 

 

Here's how you can restore a deleted bank account in QuickBooks Online: 

 

  1. Click the Accounting tab on the left.
  2. Choose Chart of Accounts
  3. In the Chart of Accounts table, click the Gear icon at the upper right corner.
  4. Put a check mark in the Include Inactive box.
  5. Find the specific account you like to restore and click the Make active option at the far right. 

 

  

That's it! For more information, I recommend checking out How to Delete an Account or Restore a Deleted Account.  

 

You can also run an Audit Log report to see who deleted the bank account.

Hi Ailene,

 

Thanks for your response.  The problem wasn't the chart account disappearing.  The feed stopped for one of my bank accounts and the feed item said the bank account was deleted.  It hadn't disappeared from the chart at all.

 

I got onto the Facebook group and put the problem in there and got help from other users.  This is apparently a frequently occurring issue with QBO just deciding to stop feeds.  I've semi resolved it now thank.

Hi Byrm,

I wouldn't call it resolved yet.  I had to send a new form to intuit to reconnect the feed and the current message on my system is that it will take about 10 days.  

 

There was a suggestion that I should try to reconnect again and hit the back button out of the screen and it would allow me to log in to the bank via QBO but I'm just waiting for the feed to update on it's own from the application form.

 

If nothing happens in the next couple of days though I'll ring in to the advisor line and get some help.
